tvN aired special episode of “Goblin/Guardian” drama on Saturday Jan, 14 to allow production team to wrap up the final episodes of the drama. The special episode hinted a great ending and the narrator promised to do ‘TT’ dance if the ratings reached 20 percent.
In the special episode, the production explains the main characters of the drama and their relationship, thus postponing the 14th episode to Jan. 20 as reported by Insight. The actor Jo Woo-Jin who plays secretary Kim in the drama is the narrator for special episode .
Goblin whose real name is Kim-Shin is the warrior and general in the Goryeo kingdom. He had given promise to the previous king, to take care and protect his younger brother which became his successor, the young king Wang-Yeo. Kim-Shin also fulfilled the promise to marry the king to his younger sister, Kim-Sun.
However, the new king was under influence of the head eunuch Park Joong-Hun. He wanted to keep the king under his thumb and consider that Kim-Shin’s growing influence will pose danger to his position. Especially, he keeps winning in the battlefield against intruders in the battle at the border. So, Park Joong-Hun created a rumor to defame Kim-Shin and ended up with the death of the general by his own sword, his entire army and his family including his sister the queen.
General Kim-Shin was resurrected as the goblin and given immortal life until his bride draw the sword of his chest. While the king mourned the death of his love, the queen and committed sucide. Wang-Yeo became the grim reaper whose memory was erased with duty to escort people into afterlife.
The special episode also promised an entertaining dance from Jo, who has been a scene stealer with his dance skill in the drama. He promised to do the ‘TT’ dance from TWICE if the ratings hit 20 percent which was also noted by Seoul Daily News. The episode 14 of “Goblin” will air on Friday, Jan. 20.
