Girls' Generation's YoonA has finally graced the silver screen with her newly released "Confidential Assignment". The 26 year-old is acting alongside big names in Korean movie industry such as Hyun Bin, Yoo Hae Jin, and Kim Joo Hyuk. On January 15, they appeared on MBC's "Section TV" to talk about the movie.
As reported by Soompi, one of her co-stars Yoo Hae Jin (a veteran actor recently famous for his appearance on "3 Meals a Day: Fishing Village") revealed a snippet of YoonA's character. He said, "YoonA is playing an unemployed sister-in-law (of my character). Knowing this is YoonA's first movie debut, she is able to show off a new side to her. I am looking forward to her acting."
YoonA then shared a thought from her manager upon watching the movie. She added, "My manager already saw the movie. He said I didn't seem like I was acting, like I was just being who I am in every day real life."
She continued to share about her experience filming with senior actors. She said they made her feel comfortable on the filming set. "They (the senior actors) also gave me a lot of advice and took good care of me during the filming," she added.
YoonA is no stranger when it comes to acting. She has a couple of hit dramas such as "You Are My Destiny", "Love Rain", and "Prime Minister and I". Her popularity skyrocketed thanks to "You Are My Destiny" back when she was only eighteen years old. Later on she won Excellence Award at the 2013 KBS Drama Awards for her role in "Prime Minister and I".
According to Naver, "Confidential Assignment" (or "Cooperation" as literal title) is a movie about two detectives from very different backgrounds. One is a South Korean detective, while the other is from North Korea. Together they team up to solve a case involving a criminal gang.
