K-pop fans would know Kris Wu as a former member of the ever popular boy group EXO but since departing from the group, the former idol has definitely broken free from his cocoon and right now is testing international waters as he takes on Hollywood acting roles. Just recently, Kris (whose real name is Wu Yi Fan) talked about his role in "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" during the film's Los Angeles premiere.
If you didn't know this already, Kris Wu is now part of the "xXx" franchise as he stars along with notable Hollywood actors Vin Diesel, Samuel L. Jackson, Nina Dobrev and Ruby Rose. According to Koreaboo, this is in fact, Kris Wu's first role outside China and will also be followed by a role in the upcoming science fiction action film "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" starring Dane Dehaan, Cara Delevingne, Clive Owen, pop superstar Rihanna and Ethan Hawke and directed by the acclaimed director Luc Besson. So basically, Kris Wu is starting to venture out into the Hollywood scene and is already showing quite promise.
Soompi reports that Kris Wu also released a music video for the original soundtrack of "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" titled Juice proving just how talented he is being able to take on acting and music at the same time. Kris has starred in several films in his home country of China including "Sweet Sixteen" where he received critical acclaim for his role and even bagging an award at the Shanghai International Film Festival and the Best Actor award during the Golden Crane Awards.
