Ji Chang Wook is all set to show his lovable side when he takes on the role of a lawyer in SBS' latest romantic comedy "Suspicious Partner." This will be a departure from the actor's roles in the action genre after starring as a contract "delivery man" in "The Healer" and an elite special force operative turned bodyguard in "The K2".
SBS recently released stills from "Suspicious Partner" depicting Ji Chang Wook in a typical lawyer's suit sporting an adorable pout and looking impatient. In another shot, he is seen in the hallways of an office with his hands in his pocket, still looking cute despite his poker face expression.
According to a report by Soompi, Ji Chang Wook will portray the role of no-nonsense lawyer No Jin Wook, whose success rate is the highest in his firm. He will come across the Nam Ji Hyun's character Eun Bong Hee, who is a new lawyer at the firm. The two characters will be polar opposites and early promotional still show the two characters getting at each other's throats. Despite their differences, it is expected that the two characters will eventually fall in love.
Ji Chang Wook has earlier expressed confidence that while "Suspicious Partner" is the first time that he and Nam Ji Hyun will be working together, they will be able to pull off a "romantic, fun chemistry" between their characters. He said that the entire cast and production team had a great time filming and said he can't wait to show the audience what they have been able to come up with. Kpopstarz reported.
Aside from Nam Ji Hyun, "Suspicious Partner" will also star Choi Tae Joon, who is JI Chang Wook's good friend in real life. The new romantic comedy which promises to make Ji Chang Wook the next rom-com prince, will air on SBS start May 10, replacing "Saimdang, Light's Diary."
