Big Bang's T.O.P. is currently on a hiatus as he is enlisted in the military for two years. However, despite this, he has still managed to come across the K-pop industry as he has been surprised by girl group DIA, in one of their performances.
Last May 11, DIA had a performance in the Gangnam Police Station in time for the Labor Day celebration in South Korea. The girls also took the opportunity to hand to their fans signed out CDs of their music albums.
And as they were doing so, they decided to randomly pick a person from the crowd. This time, they picked someone who stood out because of the mask that the person was wearing.
And as Heehyun summoned the masked man from the crowd, the audience were invigorated and energized as they simultaneously chanted the name "Choi Seung Hyun". They cheered up the atmosphere of the event with the name.
According to Koogle, Choi Seung Hyun is the real Korean name of Big Bang's T.O.P. Surprisingly, the one that the girl group picked was a fellow K-pop idol. T.O.P. then was summoned to the stage.
According to All K-pop, T.O.P. is currently assigned to man the police station as a police soldier. This was needed of him as he is enlisted in the military for two years. As soon as the girls knew that the person that they called to go to the stage was a K-pop superstar, they were amazed.
They then greeted T.O.P. with all due respect, as he is one of the most popular K-pop idols in South Korea and throughout the world. DIA then gave T.O.P. a signed CD, just like anyone else, and they cherished the moment by having a picture with the K-pop idol.
With all of these being said, one can clearly see that anything can happen when you're in the world of K-pop.
