Why BTS Won't Enter US Market For The Sake Of Korean Nationalism

BTS has recently achieved another big milestone in their career as they have won the Top Social Artist Award at the recently held Billboard Music Awards night. After the event, the K-pop boy group went through a press conference located at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul.

This was also the place where they had celebrated their triumph together with their fans. In the press conference, the media took the opportunity to ask the group a lot of questions, mostly concerning their future plans in their career. And with it, the group gracefully answered in a modest and optimistic way.

According to Korea Portal, BTS was asked by the media if ever they would want to enter the U.S. market. The group then hastily answered saying that as of now, they don't have any plans to go to the U.S.

According to Gulf news, Rap Monster, a member of the boy group, says that the reason behind this is that they are Koreans. This means that they would still be more appealing to the South Korean or Asian market, compared to the American market.

The group then went on to say that they can show their best when they sing in their language, which is Korean. Rap Monster went on to further state that it was a very big privilege for them to win the Award, as it comes from a very prestigious award coming from Billboard.

To conclude their statement, BTS says that instead of entering the U.S. market, what they would do instead is to do the best of what they can to let their group grow and establish a better and good image of their group as well as of themselves.

Hopefully, BTS continues to reach more of their dreams in the future. Let's wish them the best of luck.
