Recently, Big Bang member Taeyang has made a comeback with his newest MVs "Darling" and "Wake Me Up" off of his new solo album 'White Night.' Although most artists usual feature a plethora of other artists or even labelmates on their album, Taeyang only had one other idol in mind.
During a 'V-live' broadcast, Taeyang revealed that his "Tonight" song features Block B's hit rapper Zico and is the only song to have a feature in it. When asked why this is what he had to say about it.
The two artists actually collaborated together in the past and worked on song called "Fear" for 'Show Me The Money,' one of Korea's most popular rap battle programs currently. "I met Zico while working on his team song for Show Me The Money, and I thought he was super kind. Since he was so nice, we continued to stay in touch and talked about lots of things."
He continued to state the reason why he invited Zico to work alongside him for his song "Tonight" was that,"When this song was just about finished, I thought it would be really cool if someone featured on it with a rap, and the first person that came to mind was Zico. I asked Zico if he could feature on it and he gladly accepted, and that's how this awesome song was born." Taeyang also mentioned the reason why "Tonight" is the last song on his album is because it holds sentimental meaning for him.
