There's no stopping BTS from dominating the global music scene.
On April 13, Saturday, the K-pop superstars became the very first Korean act to perform on the American late-night variety show, Saturday Night Live. The septet - composed of RM, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, Jungkook, V, and Suga - swooned fans with the dazzling premiere of their newest offering, "Boy With Luv."
They also performed their hit song, "Mic Drop," to the delight of both of their loyal and newly-converted fans called Armys - including self-confessed K-pop fanatic Emma Stone.
On the same day, YouTube has also confirmed that the music video of their latest song (which also features American singer-songwriter Halsey) has broken the record of most-viewed YouTube video in a span of 24 hours.
"Yes, we're still running the numbers. But we can confirm that 'Boy With Luv' feat. Halsey is now *officially* the most-viewed 24 hour debut in @YouTube history!!," YouTube Music's Twitter page posted.
The record was previously held by fellow K-pop act Blackpink, whose "Kill This Love" music video has earned 56.7 million hits only after a day after its YouTube release earlier this April.
Apart from BTS' SNL and YouTube milestones, the group was also hailed as the first Asian artist to have surpassed five billion streams on leading music-streaming platform, Spotify.
This series of achievements coincides with the unveiling of their sixth EP, "Map of the Soul: Persona." The star-studded effort, which features collaborations with Halsey and Ed Sheeran, follows the historic release of "Love Yourself: Tear" and "Love Yourself: Answer" -- which both topped the Billboard 200.
BTS is also set to perform alongside Halsey at the Billboard Music Awards on May 1 for the worldwide premiere of "Boy With Luv." The K-pop act is nominated in two categories in this year's awards show (Top Duo/Group and Top Social Artist).
After their BBMAs appearance, the widely popular boy group will topbill a series of Stateside shows. Kicking off on May 4, BTS will first play at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles, California.
This "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself" stadium concert series will also bring the Bangtan Boys to different cities across South America, Asia, and Europe.
BTS was first formed in 2013 and has since amassed huge following in different parts of the globe. They have previously appeared at the American Music Awards and the Grammys, guested on The Ellen Show, and collaborated with international acts like The Chainsmokers.
