On June 10, SM Entertainment, her agency, confirmed that the former f(x) member is in the stage of preparing a single that is set to be released before June ends. But then again, it is not yet revealed if Sulli would be taking part in any promotional activities or not. This is the first time Sulli will return with a solo song in fourteen years.
The news about her solo debut received different reactions from the netizens. Some questioned Sulli's singing skills, asking if she would be able to put through as a solo artist. Another netizen commented that the sitcom "High Kick" will be more famous than her. They even asked themselves how Sulli continued to be a celebrity.
On the contrary, there were still lots of fans who supported her and expressed their happiness about the thought that she will be giving us songs again. Sullians, the official fan club name of Sulli, could not wait to hear what song she will be launching.
Sulli first caught everyone's attention as a child actress. In 2005, upon her debut, she played the role of the young Princess Seonhwa of Silla in the SBS drama entitled "Ballad of Seodong."
Sulli then participated in an SM Entertainment audition, during which she sang an S.E.S track titled "Chingu" (Friend). She later became an SM trainee and had Girls' Generation members Taeyeon and Tiffany as her dormmates.
On September 5, 2009, Sulli debuted as a member of f(x), with the song "La Cha Ta." She suddenly went hiatus because of being mentally and physically exhausted from the malicious comments and rumors about her. Her break was announced on July 24, 2014. Then in August 2015, it was revealed that Sulli would not be with f(x) anymore.
The female artist continued her acting career, though, even before she left the group. In August 2012, Sulli starred as the lead role in the Korean version of "To The Beautiful You," which is a popular Japanese shojo manga series "Hanazakari no Kimitachie."
In August 2015, she made an appearance in a film titled "The Pirates as a supporting character. Then, she acted as the leading role in the comedy movie "Fashion King." In 2017, the celebrity took the lead role in the movie "Real," alongside Kim Soo-Hyun.
Meanwhile, the idol will take part as an MC on the JTBC2 variety program "Night of Malicious Comments," which will start broadcasting on June 21.
