EXO-Ls' hearts have been well-fed this month of July, also thanks to the recent kickoff of the highly anticipated EXO Planet 5: The EXplOration at KSPO Dome in Seoul. Despite the absence of three of their beloved members - Xiumin and D.O. who are currently fulfilling their mandatory military duties, and Lay who has been thriving as a solo Mandopop star - the six-day concert instantly sold out and even accumulated attendees from different parts of the world.
The supergroup, dubbed by the media as the "KPop Kings," performed "Tempo," the title track of the latest album "Don't Mess Up My Tempo," as their opening act, further feeding the shrilling 15,000 fanatics inside the venue. What's more was that Kai and Baekhyun surprised their fans with their purple and orange hair hues, respectively.
Then, the squeals went louder as the intro of "Transformer," track no. 2 of the band's second album "EXODUS," began playing while they were clad in vibrant racer leather jackets and flaunting a cocky stance.
Zealous fans didn't stop from hollering and chanting when "Gravity," also from their fifth studio album, began captivating each and every attendee with the track's electro pulses, synth-wave elements, and god-tier vocals, not to mention that this is the first time for EXO to perform it with sharp and splendid choreography.
Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Chen, Kai, and Sehun then performed "Sign" altogether but in separate places, yet closer to their fans. Seconds later, they were exiting the stage as they set foot on the lifts.
It was not long after when Baekhyun emerged on the stage again to perform his latest solo "UN Village" from his first solo album "City Lights." The six-track album, comprised of R&B goodness, has been well-received and even broke a 15-year record for surpassing 400,000 copies sold during pre-orders.
Now dressed in a plain black suit, leather pants, and messy locks, the supergroup's main vocalist delivered a sultry performance and surely, the red lighting and his sweaty forehead helped in augmenting the concupiscent mood.
Chen, on the other hand, serenaded the fans with his poignant performance of "Lights Out." EXO-Ls couldn't help but be in awe of the main vocalist's superb voice as well as the lights that were illuminating the stage.
EXO also showed off their sharp movements while dancing to "Oh La La La," as well as to three of their greatest hits "Overdose," "Growl" and "Call Me Baby." But what shook EXO-Ls the most were the respective solo performance of Suho and Kai.
"Been Through," a track from the "Universe - Winter Special Album" and also a crowd favorite, was performed contemporarily by the boy band's leader. And as the performance reached its climax, Suho had his shirt ripped by two of his back-up dancers, revealing his chiseled abs, muscular biceps, and the names of each of his members as well as "EXO-Ls."
The crowd also went wild when Kai performed "Confession" in a sexy manner, all the while he was clad in a seeming tank top, bringing out into the open his toned arms. Moments later during his solo act, he took off his top and continued dancing steamily. The main dancer was revealed to have written the lyrics with the help of Chanyeol.
