Park Bom Aspires to Reign in "Queendom"

Park Bom still aims to win the title in this all-female and nationally televised competition entitled Queendom.

During the episode, she shared ha she "has the ambition to win first place." It was not long after that her short statement made waves on every social media platform. Some social media users also commended her performance of her 2010 track "You and I." It was obvious that nostalgia hit these viewers hard.

"I don't know anything else but this song really brings back nostalgia," a netizen said.

"This is really a legendary song," another one commented.

The diva also shared that she misses being with her former group.

"I missed being with the 2NE1 members. It felt a bit weird. It would've been nice for us to appear [on this show] when we were together. I felt lonely and had many thoughts. I want to sing properly. I practiced a lot. I'll win with my vocal skills," Park Bom said.

It was truly a riveting stage number as the other competing girl groups cheered for her and said that the song gave them goosebumps. Park Bom poured her heart out for her performance and it showed. She even received a standing ovation after her act.

Meanwhile, the other contending teams expressed their thoughts on Queendom. For AOA, this marks the start of a new path.

"The five of us have to fill the stage while performing songs that we sang as seven members. The members' absence is felt, of course. I guess we can call it a new beginning. I want to hear people say that AOA is still continuing and that AOA is still alive," Yuna said.

"I don't think I have anything to be scared of. I don't think I'll feel dejected even if we win or lose since I'm doing it with my members," Jimin added.

"Since we're doing this, I hope we come in first," Hyejeong responded.

MAMAMOO shared, "Even if we're not first, let's not be last, and let's enjoy it. I want us to enjoy it without being pushed for time."

Jeon Soyeon from (G)I-DLE, on the other hand, expressed her liking to joining competitions, whilst Oh My Girl's Binnie said, "We have a lot of potentials." Seunghee added, "I think we'll be able to show you a great, improving girl group."

Lovelyz, who showcased a mystical stage dance, said that they think they haven't shown their 100 percent.

"When people think of Lovelyz, they always think of us as lovely, innocent, and feminine since we did many things with those concepts. We want to show you girl crush concepts that can break that stereotype. Lovelyz can do it too," Kei shared.

"Of course, I'd be so happy if our ranking was high. But even if our ranking is low, I think it'll really be a success if people react by saying, 'Lovelyz always had this kind of charming quality?'" Yein added.
