Five-piece South Korean band Day6 has celebrated their fourth debut anniversary on September 8, 2019.
In a special V Live broadcast, the gents gathered after a concert in Busan, complete with a commemorative cake to share this special milestone with their fans across the world.
One of the broadcast’s highlights was the bandmates crooning a “Happy Birthday” song.
Day6, originally a six-member pop/alt-rock band, is currently composed of Jae, Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon.
The band was in Busan for two days as part of their on-going Gravity world tour. Both shows
have been well-attended despite the inclement weather due to Typhoon Lingling.
Day6 has released their fifth EP, “The Book of Us: Gravity” earlier in July and gave them their first music show win. Their fourth anniversary coincides with their current tour in promotion of their newest record.
“Gravity,” the tour, kicked off on August 9 in Seoul. They have also performed in Daegu during the same month.
This series of concerts will take the band to different cities in the US including New York (September 12-13), Boston (September 15), Miami (September 18), Dallas (September 20), San Francisco (September 25), and Los Angeles (September 28-29).
Day6 will also be stopping by in Singapore -- their first show in the area -- on October 5.
For the rest of the year, they will be bringing their hits to Melbourne (November 15), Sydney (November 17), Manila (November 23), Jakarta (November 30), and Bangkok (December 7).
Day6’s “Gravity” tour -- which serves as their second world tour -- will continue until January 2020, with the band serenading their fans in key European cities including Milan (Jan.8th), Paris (10th), London (12th), Amsterdam (16th), Berlin (18th), Brussels (22nd), Warsaw (24th), Moscow (26th), Lisbon (29th), and Madrid (31st).
Signed under JYP Entertainment, Day6 debuted on September 7, 2015, with the release of their first-ever EP, “The Day.”
