(G)I-DLE Rocks the Stage with Cover Performance of 2NE1's "Fire"

Rookie girl group stunned the viewers with their recent stage on "Queendom."

One of the most awaited presentations is that of (G)I-DLE's version of 2NE1's well-known song "Fire." The six-member female group had the viewers unending goosebumps from the very beginning of their performance until they concluded it with a fierce pose.

Park Bom, who was all by herself in the waiting room watching (G)I-DLE's number appeared wholly touched by what the group has prepared. When Yuqi showed off the iconic 'Sandara Park' hairstyle, Bom couldn't stop but to admire her charm. She even remarked, "I want to record this and show Sandara."

Even the rest of the girl group members like AOA's Jimin and Oh My Girl's Arin and Seunghee were captured by Yuqi's cuteness, and said, "Aegyo!" AOA's Seolhyun also noticed Miyeon and commented that she reminds her of Park Bom.

And as for MAMAMOO's Hwasa, just like the other contestants, she couldn't take her eyes off of (G)I-DLE and even shared her thoughts to her seatmate which is Moonbyul. She stated, "Wow, this song is still so good."

Furthermore, while (G)I-DLE presents, the other contestants couldn't help but sing and dance along with them, as well as the audience. The female groups even went "Wow!" when the performing team did a dance break in the middle of their act.

Other than that, (G)I-DLE also made Park Bom shed tears as the song "Fire" made her remember her fellow 2NE1 members. In an interview, Bom said, "I wept a lot even before they began. Every time I think about my co-members, I burst into tears." "Thank you very much for covering our song. (G)I-DLE, you girls are the best," she added. Seeing this moment, Blackjacks were all heartbroken.

(G)I-DLE's rendition of 2NE1's fire was hugely anticipated that the video of the group's cover reached more than a million views in just less than 7 hours. The video is even trending in many countries around the world.

Meanwhile, the other performances for this week's episode were Oh My Girl with Lovelyz's hit "Destiny" and Lovelyz with Brown Eyed Girls' "Sixth Sense."

"Queendom" airs every Thursday at 9:20 p.m. KST.
