Way Reveals She Earns More on YouTube than Before As an Idol

Crayon Pop's Way has shared that she gains more money now as a YouTuber.

Way answered, "I make more money now than I did before." While she didn't mention the exact numbers, Way made the viewers understand that the lives of K-pop artists - unless highly successful and beneficial - are not all wealthy. She also stated that although she was part of a team that is amongst the most remarkable K-Pop groups in 2012, she didn't make a significant amount of profit from the K-pop industry.

On the other hand, Way is now gaining lots of subscribers. She currently has a little more than 173 thousand people subscribed to her channel, and her videos even receive a high count of views. Some of her clips have reached over 1 million views - an excellent achievement for a rookie YouTube star just beginning her channel. This implies that Way finds YouTube as a more fixed source of income than being a K-Pop idol.

Way further stated though, based on her own experience, that both YouTubers and Korean artist lives both mean being financially unstable from time to time. Way said, "There are lots of ups and downs in the income of both idols and YouTubers."

It is because idol groups can never tell if the public will warmly accept their albums, while for YouTubers, they are also uncertain if their contents will catch the attention of the viewers. This only means that both come with the risk of not being able to earn money at first and in between.

The way then gave a piece of advice for both artists and YouTubers, stating that the trick is to save any amount obtained from your profit in preparation of not-so-great times that may or may not happen in the future.

The songstress remarked, "It is important to keep in mind, as a YouTuber or as an idol, is that the first sums of money that we gain in a particular month is not going to be the same amount we will be having for the following years to come." "It is all about being wise and not spending all of the money earned. Budgeting well is more important than making money."

In different news, Way and Choa had recently returned in the K-pop scene with the single "My Universe," released on September 5.
