Kpop group BLACKPINK ranks 2nd with the most YouTube views in the world based on survey from Blip. The bigger the circle, the more popular K-pop is in the relevant region.
Blip is a private research organization that gather data for K-pop fandom as the most watched in Youtube. The survey was based on YouTube clip data on 76 Korean idol acts between July 1 last year and June 30 this year.
Overall they gathered the number of views such videos garnered worldwide over the cited period was 26.55 billion, with with 89.1% of the views coming from abroad.
First rank is BTS with the most views in the U.S. with 30.6% and Europe with 27.9%, while BLACKPINK had the highest viewership in Asia with 19%.
The highest viewership according to the countries were Indonesia (2.62 billion views, 9.9%), Thailand (2.15 billion, 8.1%), Vietnam (1.96 billion, 7.4%) and the U.S. (1.95 billion, 7.4%), showing the high popularity of K-pop in Southeast Asia.
BLACKPINK got their achievement in only 3 years since they started on 2016 with only a few music videos which shows their rising popularity worldwide and having a bright future.
