The show is all about four single people, two men, and two women, who were able to come across each other through their love for food. Yoon Doo Joon acted as Goo Dae Young, Lee Soo Kyung as a character with her real name, Yoon So Hee as Yoon Jin Yi, and Shim Hyung Tak as Kim Hak Moon.
The episode 9 of the drama is titled "Mamma Mia," and one part of it shows Goo Dae Young, Lee Soo Kyung, and her mom sitting around a table and eating a Korean dish called bibimbap. Bibimbap or bibimbap is literally a bowl of mixed rice - white rice combined with various vegetables and other flavorings. In Korea, it is considered as "comfort food" as it is easy to make. Bibimbap is usually served every winter or when someone is sick.
The scene goes like this: Soo Kyung arrives at her apartment only to find that her mom is not around. Just when she was about to leave to look for her mother, her mom suddenly enters the building along with Dae Young who is following her from behind. Soo Kyung's mom then wants to make a meal for the three of them, so Dae Young volunteers to lend a hand. He was the one who fried eggs since Soo Kyung has no idea how to do that much.
As soon as the food is ready, they gathered around the table. That is when Soo Kyung's mom, if she should offer Dae Young the food, to which she refers to as 'something like this.' Dae Young then begins to rant as he was offended by the old lady, describing what he thinks about bibimbap.
He said, "Bibimbap is a feast in and of itself. It's something you can't cook alone, and you can never get the right taste if you just make one serving. Seasoned vegetables remind you of your mother's home cooking, and rice makes you remember your mom's warmth. Spicy red bean paste is like mother's scolding, and the sweetness of the sesame oil is like her embrace. You can say that bibimbap is all about a mother's love."
After he's done, Soo Kyung's mother was about to place some of the rice in a small bowl, but Dae Young stops him by remarking, "Mother, bibimbap is best when eaten out of the mixing bowl," which made the old lady happy upon learning that he knows how to eat the dish right. The three of them then consumed the bibimbap together like one cute family.
