In a statement released by Choon Entertainment, the agency apologized to the group's fans and revealed that this aforementioned abrupt departure was because of Min's personal predicaments about something that they kept under wraps.

Excerpt from the statement includes:

"We apologize for conveying this sad news to all the fans who love We In The Zone. We would like to inform you that after much discussion with our company, member Min has withdrawn from the group due to personal reasons. His contract has ended as of October 22."

The letter added another apology to fans who have been anticipating the group's second mini-album.

"We once again sincerely apologize for bringing this heartbreaking news to the fans who were waiting for We In the Zone's comeback. We ask the fans to show support and interest so that there are no difficulties for the remaining four members as they continue their promotions. They will repay that by improving and doing their best," Choon Entertainment said.

We In The Zone debuted in May this year and their forthcoming comeback is their second mini-album entitled "Weeee". Individual teasers of Eson, Jooan, Kyeongheon, and Shihyun for their "Loveade" music video have been released as well. Eson is the final member to be featured. Min's glowing teaser photo sporting his pink hair was also released earlier.

As a matter of fact, the upcoming album's release countdown was also unveiled, detailing the separate release dates of music video teasers, photo teasers, photo lyrics, tracklist, album preview, album showcase, and many more.

Shihyun, the lead dancer, came from Mnet's reality survival show Produce 101 in 2017. He, however, quit the show before it aired because of medical reasons. He debuted in a duo and even released an album, but they also broke up later on. Then, he contended in yet another survival show, Under Nineteen, under MBC in 2018.

Fast forward to April this year, Choon Entertainment announced that the We In The Zone (WITZ) will be launched, and then May came and WITZ debuted as a quintet. In light of them kickstaring in the industry, they released their self-titled album with a few self-produced tracks. They held their debut showcase in Seoul and performed several of their songs from the album.
