Solar, a MAMAMOO member, talked about her Youtube channel and shared her highest monthly earnings.
Last November 14, on an episode of Happy Together, the singer talked about "Solarsido," the name of her channel. She shared that it's a wordplay from the musical notes do, so, la, si. It also means "Solar" and the work "sido" which means to attempt in Korean. Basically, it means Solar attempts. That's why all her videos take some sort of challenge.
She shared, "I feel happy when I shoot the videos. Especially now that I've reached 1.07 million subscribers. My Youtube channel is my happy pill."
When asked about the revenue of her channel, Solar answered directly, "I have a lot of subscribers but not that many views so I don't really earn as much as famous Youtubers. On a good month, I earn 100 million won (approx. $85,000). I also split whatever earnings I have with my agency."
