Jung Joon-young and Former FT Island Jong-hoon's case details were released. Screenshots of their chat were leaked online and netizens weren't happy about it.
Joon-young and Jong-hoon have been sentenced with 6 and 5 years imprisonment respectively. On top of that, they are also mandated to undergo an 80-hour sex violence education class. The brother of Girls' Generations Yuri, Kwon Hyuk Jun, was also sentenced with 4 years.
The case details and trials were kept in private because of the victims' identities. However, on November 29, specific case details were released. In March 2016, a gang-rape was committed by Joon-young and Joon-hoon in Daegu. The victim was drunk and helpless. Also, while they were doing the gruesome act, their friends were taping the whole thing. The video-takers also raped the victim afterward. On the other hand, Hyuk Jun also raped an unconscious drunk woman. For this, he was sentenced with 4 years of jail time and 3 years probation afterward. He will also have a criminal record of being a sex offender.
Meanwhile, screenshots of Joon-young's Kakao messages were leaked. BIGBANG member Seungri was allegedly part of this group chat. In this chat room, Joon-young has sent various sex videos on several occasions. One of the videos shared was when he was raping a drunk girl.
