A university professor is currently trending for saying an offensive statement that clearly disrespects Goo Hara. He said, "If you're weak and not mentally strong, you'll end up like Goo Hara."
According to the reports that were already released on the media, the university professor named Joo Chul Hwan, which is currently teaching at Ajou University, said these comments during their lecture in their class last November 27 following Goo Hara's death.
Netizens were filled with disbelief to the professor after describing how the personality took her life because of being weak (having a weak mentality).
During the lecture, Professor Joo also stated that "People swear because they feel inferior why kill yourself because of such people?" and afterward telling his students to have a strong mind if they do not want to end up like the idol who failed to cope up with her depression due to malicious comments coming from netizens in and out of social media.
He also disrespects Goo Hara and points out that she should have responded differently after her controversy and video with her ex-boyfriend broke out, causing her mental torment and trauma. He recommended that instead of doing and feeling so, she should have stated in public, "What do you think about my body?"
This wasn't tolerated by the netizens, and Goo Hara's fans were enraged by this professor, causing his statements to backlash. Meanwhile, Professor Joo Chul Hwan is repenting on what he has said and also announced that he would be giving a public apology. In addition to this, Ajou University took responsibility and was also doing its investigation regarding this issue.
On the other hand, Goo Hara has been fighting throughout, and fans were taking her side that she was indeed a powerful woman. After her issues circulated online and netizens not believing her statements, she suffered too much stress causing her to attempt suicide. Fortunately, she survived and kept ongoing.
Furthermore, last October, Goo Hara's best friend, Choi Sulli, who is also experiencing malicious comments from people, took her own life, causing this to add up on Hara's pain. Fans become more worried after her Instagram live, which she's crying saying sorry to Sulli. Though, days after, Goo Hara stated that she would keep on living and become healthy.
However, Goo Hara then was found lifeless on her house month after Sulli's death, which causes the Entertainment world in grief. Fans worldwide sent their condolences and commemorated Goo Hara for creating a great life.
