YG Entertainment Responds To BLACKPINK's Fans Requests

YG Entertainment responded to the protests calling for BLACKPINK's activities. "YG Entertainment continues to listen to the voices of fans of its artists, including Blackpink," YG Entertainment said on its official Twitter account on Wednesday.

"BLACKPINK has just finished its 32nd World Tour in 23 cities across four continents this year and is currently holding a dome tour in Japan, but at the same time, the group is working on recording several new songs at the same time," the agency said.

YG Entertainment released this statement due to an electric board truck, with a message expressing and longing for a much-awaited comeback of the girl group Blackpink and wishes to have their activities in Korea, which went around the YG Entertainment building in Hapjeong-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on the same day.

"Also, we ask the fans to give BLACKPINK, who are sweating hard to release a new album in early 2020, a warm message of support," they added.

The truck's electronic board contained fans' demands, including "more than twice a year in the group," "release a promised solo project," "invigorate domestic activities such as entertainment, radio and events" and "attending to the premiere and year-end stages."

The agency then gave a response to fans' voices by saying, "YG executives and employees are deeply grateful to fans for their affectionate rebuke and support, and will always do their best to play better music."

BLACKPINK fans appear to have complained about BLACKPINK's lack of album and broadcasting activities in Korea since the release of its EP album "Kill This Love" in April.

BLACKPINK that debuted in 2016 already recorded top ranking for charts, and recently their music videos, "DDU-DDU," have garnered 1 billion views for the first time, while "Boombayah" and "As If It's Your Last" has 700 Million views. The recent comeback "Kill This Love," released in April, also has gained 700 million views and reached high fandoms nationally and abroad.

Fans also had expected that the agency would release Jisoo, Rose and Lisa's solo album after BLACKPINK Jennie's solo debut album named "SOLO" in 2018 of November which made the fans keep going on amid long waiting as neither the members' solo albums nor BLACKPINK's albums were released on the next half of the year.

And this response is not really surprising, as there have been many cases in which YG artists, as well as BLACKPINK, have called for their music activities.

As YG Entertainment said that the group, as well as the management, are planning to release a new album in early 2020 at the request of BLACKPINK fans, attention is focusing on whether it will be able to hear the news of BLACKPINK's comeback for sure early next year.

With that, BLACKPINK fans were already anticipating to see the expected legendary and bop music BLACKPINK is about to showcase, which is sure, going to create noise and high demand not only to BLACKPINK fans but as well to the netizens who loved their music and dance.
