Choi Seung Hyun or popularly known as T.O.P, member of the group labeled as "Kings of Kpop," BIGBANG, shared his sassy comment through his Instagram post after being chosen as one of the "50 Art Collectors to Watch."
ARTnews, who released this listing, is an American virtual magazine company, which focused on bringing and carrying ancient to contemporary artworks, and this being said, includes the people, issues, and trends as well as events that shaped the industry of Arts throughout the world.
The ARTnews also revealed that the listing was based and made with the help of trusted sources such as curators, top auction house specialists, dealers, and other significant people, which has an eye when it comes to artworks and artistic world.
The list was the top 50 names consisting of the world's most promising collectors, which is building their collections around the world, and two members of BIGBANG entered the list including Choi Seung Hyun (TOP) and Kwon Ji Young (G-Dragon).
Following this release, T.O.P. posted on his Instagram account a photo of the category he was able to get in, though, his caption shows his cheeky side, talking about his dissatisfaction about the basis of the selection, for they haven't any idea about the listing but afterward, expressed his grateful and happy heart for the acknowledgment given to him.
In his caption, he says,
"Ha... Can we find out what their selection criteria were? They have never seen my warehouse before?? and maybe will not forever?
Anyway, thanks, nonetheless! I am honored." said the artist who was curious about what kind of criteria the listing based on, despite not seeing his collections.
Meanwhile, T.O.P. and G.D. fans weren't shocked about ARTnews listing, for the idols were known for their love in artworks, with T.O.P. spending almost 95% of his income for it.
Moreover, this will be added to their achievement as the only Koreans who make it to the top, even from the same group. They were listed on the category of Contemporary Art Collectors, which T.O.P. and G.D. were collecting for years now.
Though, this is not his first time , that Seung Hyun (T.O.P.) was acknowledged for giving attention to arts. He is also given the label as one of the top 200 Art World Influencers, and he's not only doing this as a hobby but for charity as well.
The Korean superstar has been doing auctions and collaborating with other artists, and the proceeds will go to and will be donated to their chosen charity house.
T.O.P.'s house was already called "Art Museum" due to the number of art pieces he was owning.
On the other hand, T.O.P. just recently had his military discharged earlier than G.D. and Taeyang's. Regarding their possible comeback as a three, for Daesung is still on the military while Seungri announced his retirement, making it impossible for an OT5 comeback. Their agency Y.G. Entertainment has not released any schedules and announcements regarding this yet.
