The BTS "Speak Yourself" concert was estimated to have almost 1 Trillion Korean Won (862 million USD) economic impact. It was held last October of this year and tickets were all sold out.
A team of professors from a prestigious Korean University has made the study which was based on the group's concerts last October 26, 27, and 29. They have found out that an estimated amount of almost 1 trillion Korean Won or 862 USD was added to the economic net growth. The professors concluded that the ticket sales, streaming prices, place rentals, transportations, and tourism totaled to about 350 billion Korean won. The rest of the value came from indirect sources like consumerism.
