SEVENTEEN's third full-length album called "An Ode," which was released last September 16, 2019, through PLEDIS Entertainment,  has been gaining worldwide attention as it tops the U.S. Billboard.

It has been acknowledged in South Korean Gaon Album Chart as well as in the Japanese Oricon Albums Chart in its third week and recently, it has been named as the number one album for "Best K-pop 25 Albums of 2019" by the U.S. Billboard.

Billboard, a U.S. music media outlet, published an article titled "The 25 Best K-pop Albums of 2019: Critics' Picks" on its website last December 31 and announced that SEVENTEEN's "An Ode" is the number one K-pop album of 2019 by critics.

"An Ode," the first full-length album after a year and ten months from their last comeback, captures SEVENTEEN's musical agony as this has set a record of selling 700,000 copies in its initial sales.

Furthermore, the album has been highlight by major foreign media including Billboard, MTV and the U.K.'s NME to show off its global influence.

The U.S. Billboard said as well in a related article that the Korean music industry had grown exponentially in the music scene around the world.

This growth has resulted in K-pop that goes beyond the limits of traditional song structures and genre norms, adding that it was selected as the best K-pop album in consideration of its narratives and outstanding music.

In response, SEVENTEEN's "An Ode" topped the list, draws attention from the public and of course, from their fans as well.

"SEVENTEEN has grown into their music without completely leaving behind the group's previous appearances,"

The critic mentioned terrific words to the group, pointing to the musical features of 11 of the albums.

"Since their debut, the members have participated in music work and continued to experiment and test new things about what is 'SEVENTEEN' on their own," the author stated. "They have shown us how to protect our identity while we evolve."

It was also reported that SEVENTEEN ranked No. 1 on the list of Oricon's annual indie albums in 2018, and in addition to winning the Oricon weekly album No. 1 after its release.

Their release "YOU MADE MY DAWN" and their third full-length album "An Ode" have also seen with high sales, drawing attention in this year's annual rankings.

In the meantime, SEVENTEEN, who is continuously receiving global attention, is scheduled to perform on their solo concert called SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR ODE TO YOU on January 10 to be held in Newark, New Jersey.

They have earned positive expectations ahead of their concerts as well in eight North American cities, including Chicago on the 12th, Dallas on the 14th, Houston on the 15th, Mexico City on the 17th, Los Angeles on the 19th, San Jose on the 21st and Seattle on the 23rd.

After this tour, they are already set to perform and hold a Japanese dome tour in May 2020.

SEVENTEEN has just recently begun their world tour late August in Olympic Park Kyocera Dome in Seoul as opening a new tour era with the fans.
