The worldwide K pop boy group BTS will be kicking off this year with their upcoming comeback this February. According to the official statement of Bighit Entertainment, "BTS will release MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 on the 21st of next month. We announced the news first through the global official fan community BTS Weverse."

The MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 is the album sequel of the previously released in April last year, MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA. Following PERSONA, which steals the hearts of the domestic and international market, MAP OF THE SOUL:7 is already gaining high anticipation from the fans and netizens worldwide.

BTS achieved the first place in the US Billboard main album chart "Billboard 200" with LOVE YOURSELF 轉 Tear in 2018. Since then, LOVE YOURSELF 結 Answer and MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA have reached the top of the "Billboard 200," and in a span of 11 months, three albums ranked first in a row.

In July, Nielsen Music released a report in the first half of 2019, ranking first in "Top 10 Physical Albums" with MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA, and recorded the highest album sales in the United States.

The album will be released on February 21, and the pre-order for the album selling will start on February 9. The details were already announced in the BTS Weverse application, and it was also revealed through the group's fan cafe.

Furthermore, the additional details are to be announced yet to the said website and application as well. Meanwhile, the concept of the album is not, however, revealed, but fans and netizens were excited to see the group rocking the stage and music charts again.

Fans notably ARMY, were also preparing not only themselves but as well as their pocket, for the selling of the albums. It is expected that through this new album, BTS will going to break their own records over and over again.

It was December last year when the agency responds to the possible comeback this 2020, wherein the members themselves announced it during 2019 MNET Asian Music Awards.

Jimin said that "We are currently working for our next album, and I am confident that we are able to come up with a better album than what you are anticipating. Please look forward to it."

On the other hand, BTS, despite working on a comeback, was still at the top for Billboard's World Album Chart together with their previous albums with SuperM, Red Velvet, EXO, and many more. On this day, photos from the 34th Golden Disc Award with the famous EBS Mascot Pengsoo were released, and BTS was seen posing cutely together with the penguin character for the educational channel.
