On the 8th of January, the Korean celebrity couple Minhwan and Yulhee revealed that the twins that Yulhee were carrying are girls!
Beforehand, Minhwan, who is a member of the Korean band FT Island and Yulhee, a former member of the girl idol group LABOUM, initially revealed that Yulhee was pregnant are twins. However, the gender of the babies wasn't announced yet.
During the recently aired episode of the reality family show "Mr. House husband" where the couple was participating, the father of the former idol, visited the happy family, giving gifts to his "granddaughters." Also, the couple shared that their first baby, their son will have baby sisters.
During Yulhee's interview, she expressed her inner feelings about her babies. She said,
"I am really hoping for daughters to my heart's content, and I have this thought that I already have everything that I wanted. When I found out about the gender, my feeling can be compared as I was floating in the air."
Minhwan also seconded the motion and shared that he also wished for twin daughters. Through this, he can be able to experience giving and buying matching outfits for his babies, as well as tried giving them out princess outfits which he wasn't able to do for his son. Minhwan also has this visualization that raising baby girls at the same time would be lovely.
It's been past a year since Yulhee left her group and gave birth to their first baby, who's named is Jaeyul, who came to the world on the 29th of May, last 2018. Due to her pregnancy, Yulhee withdraws from the group to focus on taking care of Minhwan's son. Meanwhile, the relationship between the two was revealed in 2017, which after dating rumors surfaces, their respective agencies confirmed their relationship.
Before the couple was accepted, they both received hate comments from the netizens due to unexpected pregnancy despite the rising career of the female idol, and without having a proper wedding ceremony first.
But after the couple's appearance at the show and becoming a regular guest for "Mr. House Husband," netizens came to acknowledge their undoubted love for each other, together with Jjangi, Jaeyul's nickname. Jaeyul eventually produced his fanbase, consisting of FT island's fan and LABOUM's fans, as well as the viewers of the show.
The couple, together with Jaeyul, has then appeared for several events as a family, including the 2019's baseball match between Hanhwa Eagles and LG Twins, wherein Minhwan is the one who sang their National Anthem together with his family and even threw the first pitch with his son.
In addition to this, Jaeyul also stole noonas' hearts as he walked through the red carpet together with Minhwan and Yulhee for the 24th Consumer Rights Day Ceremony in November 2019.
