JYP Entertainment said that they had already filed criminal charges against TWICE member Nayeon's stalker.
An official from JYP said, "We filed a criminal complaint against Nayeon's known stalker at Gangnam Police Station in Southern Seoul on Tuesday."
Accusing him of obstruction of business (Article 314 of the Criminal Law). Also, the previous day, JYPE completed an injunction with the Central District Court in Seoul.
"We have already warned Nayeon that she should never be approached by a stalker who tries to continue her access," the agency said. "The stalker has been ignoring it. He boarded a plane returning from an overseas trip and tried to approach her again on the first day, causing a big commotion on the plane."
Nayeon's stalker is a foreign man of German nationality and continues to post videos on his YouTube channel and Twitter that she is dating Nayeon.
Referring to the specific date on Twitter, he said, "Nayeon, I'm coming to see you. I've made a reservation. See you in two weeks." And also words like, "I'll see you in three days, I'll contact you through my e-mail," he said, adding to the controversy by posting a video clip on YouTube that he visited Korea.
He posted a video circulating the JYP building and said, "I came to the JYP building 20 minutes ago. Sadly, Nayeon is not here today. I don't know when she will revisit JYP. I will try again tomorrow." In addition to this, he sent a message to TWICE fans asking where they live or posted a video taken at the site where Nayeon filmed the Vlive Broadcast.
When many Internet users posted critical comments such as "shocking" and "What you're doing now is terrible stalking." And he responded to those comments and said, "It's sad that many people seem to misunderstand. I want to make Nayeon happy."
The man boarded the same flight as Nayeon on the first day and tried to reach Nayeon. At that time, JYP said,
"There was a big commotion on the plane, with Nayeon's overseas stalker riding on a flight back home from Japan today and trying to gain continuous access to the members themselves. Fortunately, there was no direct damage to the artist. Still, he is expressing a lot of discomfort and anxiety to the people inside the plane," he said, adding that the agency will now seek intensive legal measures.
Even after the plane has landed, the man created another controversy by posting absurd explanations on Twitter, saying, "I was only trying to deliver the letter to Nayeon, but the managers rushed over me." "I was just trying to give a love letter to Nayeon on the plane, and two managers attacked me for no reason," he said. "The managers kept me from getting my message across to Nayeon. What they did was completely insane. I will go to the police and tell them that the managers used violence."
From then on, the stalker will no longer be allowed to come closer to Nayeon.
