On January 9, the Korean girl group Momoland finally got their first win for a music show, after releasing their recent comeback album, "Thumbs Up."

Momoland then can't help themselves to shed tears as their group's name was called on the spot for M Countdown's second-week show, beating various idol groups, including SF9, who released their comeback "Good Guy" after four years, ATEEZ, and the new Duo B.O. Y's "My Angel," consisting of the former member of MYTEEN Kim Kookheon and Song Yuvin.

The members of the idol group expressed their thankful hearts to their fans, saying, "There were always those people who believed in us, and we were able to become happy and excited. We will continue to work harder and give you happiness. Thank you!" and afterward, the team formed a circle, hugging and comforting each other.

Meanwhile, before taking home their first win for "Thumb Up" they suffered lots of hate comments and critics from the netizens, while the other members even experience bullying because of their looks and talents, becoming more severe after Taelha and Yeonwoo left the group.

Recently, Daisy, who is currently in conflict with MLD Entertainment, claimed that the result for their music show, which helped them to debut, "Finding Momoland" was rigged. The member told KBS how she was told that she's already in the group even before the final episode. She also revealed that they pay a huge sum of amount to debut, as payment for their production cost. Daisy sits on from their promotion since February last year and still hasn't come back to their team's promotion.

On November, it has been announced that the group will be re-organizing their group as a six-member- including Nancy, Jooe, Hyebin, Jane, Nahyun, and Ahin, excluding Daisy who is still in the group (currently processing the termination of her contract), from nine members since their debut.

Moreover, some netizens were claiming that Momoland's song, "Thumbs up," is similar to Mamamoo's "HIT," which becomes a short controversy days ago. In addition to this, this is not only the first time Momoland was accused of plagiarizing songs but during the release of their worldwide phenomenon song, "Bboom Bboom," netizens noticed the uncanny similarity of the song to SEREBRO's "Mi Mi Mi."

Though, it was claimed that Momoland's "Bboom bboom" might be inspired to the song "Mi Mi Mi" though calling it plagiarized is outstretched for the notes and lyrics were different.

On the other hand, Momoland still pushes through and even reached the international market, wherein they were also promoting in other countries, especially the Philippines, which has widely accepted their music and even turned it into challenges vi social media platforms.

Furthermore, Momoland's Nancy will be debuting as an actress In the said country, together with a Filipino Actor, James Reid, wherein the drama is expected to air this year. ABS-CBN, a top broadcasting channel in the Philippines, already signed a contract for co-management with MLD Entertainment for Momoland's promotion in the country.
