With the series of controversies and issues YG Entertainment faced last year, it was a tough year for the agency as well as for its artists. Although, for this year, it was expected that things would get better, as YG announced their artist's future activities and plans for 2020.

First, it has been a concern last 2019, whether Bigbang will be re-signing their contract as it was expiring after their military service. However, recently, it was announced that the group would be back as they will be performing for Coachella 2020 with four members. This is going to be the first huge event that Bigbang will be reunited again to play on a stage after their G-Dragon and Taeyang's military service.

Due to this, fans and netizens deliberately think that the group will renew their contract, as they value their agency so much, who have grown and gain their popularity inside the entertainment agency.

Moreover, aside from Bigbang's renewal, YG has welcomed for the beginning of the year, artists who already signed for a contract implying that they will be working together for the upcoming years ahead, including top actors and actresses Cha Seungwon, Kang Dong Won, Son Ho Joon, and Lee Sung Kyung.

Second, BLACKPINK is confirmed to be releasing a new album for the first quarter of the year. Though, the exact time and schedule has yet to be announced. It was also expected that BLACKPINK would have their tour. Their new sets of activities excite fans and netizens following their recent success last year for multiple wins and awards through, "KILL THIS LOVE."

The song has peaked on 41st for the US Billboard Main Single Chart Hot 100, wherein it also got recognition ranking to 24th for Billboard Main Album "BillBoard 200". BLACKPINK song was known for being trendy, not only to youths as well as for adults, and their songs have a long run, rather than being a flash in the pan.

And third, YG earlier introduced the debut date of their new group, YG TREASURE, which will be going to be a 12-member group, the largest group in YG for idol groups. iKON as well will be reorganized as a six-member group including, Bobby, Jay, Ju-ne, Song, DK, and Chan following BI's withdrawal from the group, and will be releasing a new song within this year. They were also expected to focus more in Japan, where fans widely accepted their music.
