FNC Entertainment has officially announced on Cherry Bullet's fan cafe on the 13th of January that the group is having problems on returning to Korea due to the Taal Volcano eruption in Manila. The group flew to the Philippines to attend "The 24th Asian Television Awards" which was held last January 11 and 12.
"We are all safe. The group members and the staff that went with them are safe and are currently staying in the hotel. We are still closely monitoring the situation as all flights got canceled. We are only waiting for the go signal from the Philippine government and we are hoping that airport operations will resume soon," an FNC official said.
The Taal Volcano is located on an island south 60 kilometers south of Metro Manila. It has erupted at around 2:00 in the afternoon of January 12 Philippine Time. Ashfall has been reported since yesterday and the volcano remains active with the imminent threat of an explosive eruption. Evacuations have been done and airports within the vicinity have been shut down for safety purposes.
