When you are a K-pop fan, you may love everything when it is about Korea, primarily if you are residing outside the country. From food, fashion, learning Hangul, speaking Korean, and dreaming of traveling and living in the cities of Seoul, Gangnam and Itaewon might be some of your goals.

Also, chances are if you are a fan of the Korean culture, you also love watching Korean dramas, and you cannot deny that you have your ideal "Oppa" or "noona" from these dramas that you are rooting for. You may wonder, "It would be perfect if he/she can also sing and dance like an idol."

However, indeed, several Korean celebrities are a trainee to become a K-pop idol before becoming actresses or actors! The list of those celebrities follows:

1. Lee Jong Suk

With his singing abilities after doing a cover with best friend Lee Sung Kyung "True Colors" and dancing to "New Face" of PSY, fans noticed that he could have been a successful idol. Lee Jong Suk debut last 2005 as a runway model, and dreamed of becoming like "Rain" who is a singer-actor. He then moved to SM Entertainment but eventually ran way after SM broke their promise to debut as an actor. He trained to become an idol, and if he did not run away, he could have debuted with TVXQ or goes "2YA2YAO" with Super Junior.

2. Park Bogum

Popularly known for his drama, "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" with Kim Yoo Jung and "Reply 1988" with Hyeri, who would have thought that he once dreamed of becoming a Korean idol? Training by himself with his set dream, he seeks different agencies to accept him to become a trainee; however, he was rejected several times and went for being an actor as his path.

3. Ahn Hyo Seop

Currently carving his name on the entertainment industry as an actor, Ahn Hyo Seop was once a trainee from JYP Entertainment. He could have been a member of GOT7 and sing and dance to "Just Right" but ended up giving up and choosing to become an actor.

4. Gong Seung Yeon

Sister of TWICE member Jeong Yeon, Seung Yeon could have been a member of f(x) or Red Velvet, had she not chose acting despite training at SM Entertainment for seven years.

Though, Seung Yeon is pretty famous as an actress currently with several successful projects, including "Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency."

5. Ku Hye Sun

Ku Hye Sun could have been a 2NE1 member as she trained to become an idol under YG Entertainment. She initially trained for SM Entertainment, and she could have been a Girls' Generation member, however, after moving to DSP Media, and moving to YG, she pursue acting career, and debut with her famous portrayal as Geum Jan Di in "Boys over Flowers" with Lee Minho, that gave them global recognition.
