This news brought worries to her fans after several articles release that it could be a symptom of Corona Virus, which is currently spreading throughout the globe, killing around 132 people in China, with 6,000 people affected.

On the 29th of January, the agency of Wheein, Rainbow Bridge World released an official statement regarding the idol's state and said,

"Hello, this is RBW.MAMAMOO Wheein has received an examination in the hospital after experiencing symptoms of colds." The agency then confirmed that Wheein was diagnosed with Type A Flu, and due to her health, she was then recommended by the doctor to rest.

"Following the doctor's recommendation that she needs rest to recover her condition, resulting in her to sit out of the 29th Seoul Music Awards."

According to Mercury News, Influenza Virus And Corona Virus show the same symptoms, such as headache, fever, cough, and respiratory problems. This may bring confusion, however, according to Dr. Nancy Messionier from CDC's Center for immunization and respiratory disease.

There are two groups to be considered when diagnosing Corona Virus, and influenza or colds: (1) Have you traveled to China? And (2) Do you have any close friends or family that recently traveled to Hubei, Province, China?

"But we don't think people who are not in one of these two groups need to be concerned, and we judge the risk to be low."

However, prevention is better than cure, and due to the wide-spreading virus, agencies have been canceling international schedules of their artists for precaution. YG Entertainment recently canceled WINNER's world tour in Vietnam, wherein cases of Corna virus has been reported.

In addition to this, Sm Entertainment canceled their artists, including Taeyeon and NCT Dream schedules for February, where they will be conducting their respective concerts in Macau and Singapore.

Super Junior has canceled their fans' invitation and shoot their "Super Junior The Stage" on the 28th of January privately, as per SJ label's initial announcement that it is to assure the members' health.

Moreover, SHINee's Onew and EXO's Xiumin supposed to be military musical has been postponed as well in light of the outbreak.

Music shows, including KBS "Music Bank" will be having their broadcast without live fans, to ensure that the K-pop idols who will be attending the show will be protected, and to reduce the chances of spreading the virus.

Lastly, to prevent getting the virus, make sure to drink more water, use facemask when going outside, especially it the place is crowded, as well as don't forget to sanitize your hands by washing it regularly. Also, eat foods with Vitamin C as well as vegetables to strengthen the immune system.
