Zico, who recently released his comeback song "Any Song" won triple crown during the broadcast of SBS Inkigayo, beating BTS and SF9.
On February 2, Zico has won four times in a row taking first place for the second and third week of January. The singer also welcomed February with another win, scoring twice as much as BTS' pre-released song "Black Swan" and SF9's "Good Guy."
"Any Song" was released on January 13, featuring a lively rhythm and a song that people can easily jam along, which is focused on a dance hall vibe. This song also created a popular dance challenge not only among fans but as well as to K-pop idols and is blowing the SNS for its addictive tune.
After its release, it has been a discussion between fans if what could be the real meaning behind it. A fan theory then says that it could be a diss to artists who are manipulating music show charts. Though, Zico has explained that he wrote the song because he wanted to give people a song that will not make them think of anything, and the song was created with no sense for a purpose.
"I wanted to make a song people could listen to when they are not thinking of anything[...] Since it's the beginning of the year, we could just enjoy the song without thinking about much. The song message is that it has NO message."
On the contrary, after taking the first spot for several times, Zico was accused of Sajaegi or manipulating the charts. Zico hasn't released anything about it, but prove it wrong through the continuous music domination of his song.
Meanwhile, During the broadcast of SBS Inkigayo, the four-member reorganization of the first generation K-pop group, Sechs Kies returned with their new mini-album, "All For You" with their comeback stage. The idols were one of the first groups who paved the way for the recognition of K-pop in South Korea. Their song brought back the nostalgic atmosphere of the '90s, with the mix of the modern beat.
Other K-pop groups performed in the show as well, including Golden Child, DreamNote, Berry Good, B of You, SF9, ANS, ENOi,2Z, and many more.
SF9 was nominated during their last stage on a music show and got second place, next to BTS, who won third place and Zico as the top.
On the other hand, BTS has released their 4th comeback trailer, featuring J-Hope and his magnificent rap. Following their "Interlude: Shadow" with Suga as the main character, J-Hope will be the main guy for their "Outro: EGO." The song showcases an energetic pop, which is based on African rhythms, and the video contains scenes that seem to be sweeping fast as the past contents of BTS moving quickly.
BTS will be having their comeback this February 21, with their repackage album, "MAP OF THE SOUL:7", heralding a huge comeback.
