On an episode of the MBC's show, "Human Documentary People Are Good," a member of the K-pop girl group, Luna, opens up in public about the late Sulli for the first time.
During the March 3 episode of the documentary, Luna talks about her inner feelings about the sudden passing away of her former co-member Choi Sulli and her best friend, Ji-eun [not an idol]. Luna then confessed her struggles as she experienced two close people in her life the same year, 2019, within a month of each other.
The female idol revealed that upon hearing the news about Sulli, she had a breakdown on the street.
"I was sitting on the street and crying. [Before Sulli passed away], she contacted me and said, "I miss you." For the first time in 15 years, she addressed me informally and expressed her desire to see me. Thinking about it now, she probably wants someone to help her carry her burdens."
Luna also added, "As a big sister, I felt so sorry. I should have notice and approaches her first. I should have told her how much I love her."
In addition to this, not long after Sulli left the physical world, Luna hasn't been recovering when her best friend Ji-eun also passed away, for the same reason---Depression.
Luna shared that she is not only a best friend, roommate, and housemate, but she is also a family.
"There was no other friend like her. Her life was probably tough. During that time, I can't understand anything." The female idol even revealed that she couldn't cry when the unfortunate event happened. Giving a blue flower on her wake, she thought that it was her best friend's favorite flower as it was also her last hair color. And said, "I'm sorry if I can't cry right now."
Meanwhile, Luna, later on, opened up about her mental health.
"My condition was terrible [at the past]," Luna revealed to be suffering from depression and panic disorder before though it gets better. The female idol also gave situations that when she couldn't even enter a car due to extreme panic attacks, and it makes her crazy that she could not talk while shaking.
She overcomes it then with the definition of a happy ending on her mind: being able to do whatever, staying healthy, having the reason to smile even if it's a bit, and living with people with joy.
On March 4, following the episode of the show, Luna expressed her gratitude to her fans, who gave her encouraging message as well as left positive feedbacks about her, motivating her and assuring her that fans and netizens got her back.
"I am kind of worried if what's the feedback I will get after talking about saddening events; however, I am shocked by the number of great supports I am receiving. Though, I am sorry if some of my fans worry instead overly about me."
Lastly, Luna hinted fans about her album, "I am preparing for my next album, I will greet you all with my best version."
