BTS leader Rap Monster has expressed his feelings to his fans through his V Live stream regarding the cancellation of their concert in Seoul, Korea.
RM opened up how the globally-wide spread of the Coronavirus has affected so much of their upcoming activities as well as the promotion of their new album "Map of the Soul: 7."
On March 10, RM hosted a live stream and talked about the behind-the-scenes in the making of their latest album "Map of the Soul:7," explaining every insight that the group had made in each of the tracks that are included in the album.
During the live stream, RM shared the on-going promotion of their title track "ON" when the COVID-19 quickly spread globally and had to temporarily postpone all of their on-going and future activities because of the growing public health concerns of the Coronavirus.
He revealed that even the music shows became recording performances without live fans our audience to support and watch, as well as other K-pop groups had to limit direct interaction with their fan.
RM added "With all of our promotional activities that are on-hold and temporarily postponed, I felt powerless at times when I am in the middle of doing our activities.
I felt like even though I am sweating, it did not felt like 'real sweat.' We were declaring our comeback but no one is there to witness our hardships, efforts, and preparations. We did not any in-person interactions from any of our fans."
But RM shared that no matter what, they need to show their fans the best that they can do on-stage performances and live appearances.
"I kept on telling myself and keeping in mind that we cannot lose the energy that we have. We have to seem happy, we have to keep on smiling for our fans.
Some of our supporters are having such a hard time and I think that the least we can do for them is to be ON AIR.
I keep in mind that if e lose our energy because of what happened, it will also affect the fans who have been waiting for such a long period for our return."
RM even mentioned the cancellation of their Seoul, Korea concert for the "Map of the Soul:7" because of the growing number of affected individuals by the Coronavirus.
The concert is set to take place on April 11, 12, 18 and 19.
"It was very hard for the group especially for me and feeling so powerless about it, it'ss so frustrating. There are many things that we have prepared for so long for the fans to see it, rehearsed until we exhaust ourselves.
I just felt depressed because this was all meant for the fans to see it in person."
He also stated in the live stream that in the last two weeks in his home, he felt nothing but anger and disappointment and would even tell and feel angry.
He was upset that they could not do anything about the situation.
At the end of his stream, he still left positive things for his fans to bear in mind despite the unfortunate event.
He said "At least we can do broadcasting and get the power to share my insights and stories online. The Internet is very important nowadays because offline interaction isn't possible and unadvisable because of the virus.
But we must still keep on looking at the bright side, and keep on moving forward, we will soon be receiving good news."
