BIGBANG's leader G-Dragon stirred a controversy after posting a photo on his Instagram account with a black and white photo of a tongue stuck out and a piece of paper with a smiley face on top of it.
G-Dragon uploaded these allegedly drug-influenced photos on March 15, along with a slideshow of pictures showing different creative images.
Some netizens claimed that the image is referring to a hallucinogenic drug, LSD.
LSD or Lysergic Acid Diethylamide is a hallucinogenic drug that can trigger perceptual changes in emotions, vision, thinking, and touch. Dilated pupils, with increased blood pressure and body temperature, will most likely happen upon taking this drug.
The photo that disturbed his fans the most was a flower and a note written in a black pin saying, "Kill Yourself," to which a fan responded with a comment that reads, "I don't like what is written on that black pin. Please, take care of yourself. Love you, king!"
The sole reason why netizens and some fans are concerned about this post of G-Dragon was because of his issue back in 2011 where he was investigated for using marijuana. The police then dropped the charges as the amount of the drug in his body is minimal and was non-habitual.
It happened in Japan after his performance when a man offered him to smoke and he accepted it because he thought it might be disrespectful of him to refuse. He gave his statement to the public soon after.
"I was drunk that time and I felt that the cigarettes I'm smoking are very strong. I have never smelled something like that before, so I can't tell the difference at that time. It's like the usual smoke that I take every day," he said on the live telecast of the show Healing Camp.
While others are trying to comprehend his post, a fan cleared the minds of those who are suspicious. The fan shared that these various images he posted online were inspired by an art piece of Swedish Screen Printers Association that hosts an exhibit every year. It was reported that the theme for this year is 'forbidden' and the photos he posted clearly showed his preference for that word.
However, this post still did not stop hateful netizens from swarming on his account. Some of the negative remarks include:
"You need attention?"
"This moron still does not learn."
"What is wrong with you?"
"Now, I finally get to learn what drug look like because of you!"
"Do you think you're cool?"
