H.O.T (First Generation)
This five-membered group has debuted under the management of SM Entertainment in 1996. The group's name H.O.T. stands for Highfive Of Teenagers. They are considered to be the first-ever K-pop Idol group that was successfully launched by their agency and became the model for any other K-pop group rookies at that time.
The members consist of Moon Hee-Joon, Jang Woo-hyuk, Tony An Kngta, and Lee Jae-won.
The group produced two singles, "Descendants of Warriors," and "Candy". The group disbanded in 2001 due to a contract disagreement with their agency SM Entertainment, causing hundreds of loyal fans to protest against their management.
G.O.D (First Generation)
A five-membered boy group that consists of Son Ho-young, Yoon Kye-sang, Kim Tae-woo, Danny Ahn and Park Joon-Hyung
G.O.D stands for Groove OverDose, the group was produced by JYP Entertainment and debuted back 1999. G.O.D has been known as the greatest rival of the H.O.T group that is under SM Entertainment. This group is popularly known because of its R&B Style and rap style of singing. They have produced songs such as "To Mother," "Road" and "One Candle."
TVXQ (Second Generation)
TVXQ also consists of five members namely Changmin, Yunho, Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, and Xiah Junsu. The group's official name TVQS stands for Tong Vfang Xien Qi.
TVXQ released their first single in 2004 titled "Hug," and made their first studio album "Tri-Angle" in 2004 and "Rising Sun" in 2005. The albums are a success after achieving a "top seller album" title.
BIGBANG (Second Generation)
A five-membered K-pop boy group with members Seungri, Daesung, Taeyang, T.O.P and G-dragon. YG Entertainment gave birth to BIGBANG in the year 2006.
With just having strong vocals and fluency in rapping their songs, they have turned all ears and eyes from all over the world. BIGBANG has successfully contributed to the world of K-pop Industry as they continue to dominate the world starting with their song "Fantastic Baby" that is still loved by the fans up to date.
Currently, the group only has four members after Seungri left last year due to the Burning Sun Scandal.
EXO (Third Generation)
Exo is a nine-membered group that consists of Xiumin, Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O, Kai and Sehun. EXO was formed under the agency of SM Entertainment in 2011 and made their debut as a group in 2012.
EXO can perform music in different languages such as Korean, Mandarin, and Japanese.
In 2013, Exo released their first album 'XOXO' along with the track "Growl". They have been named as "Kngs of K-pop" since then by the media outlets.
BTS (Third Generation)
Lastly, the world-famous K-pop boy group in the history BTS! The only seven-membered boy group from the year 2013 to ever exist without disbanding up to date!
The group consists of RM, V, Jin, Suga, Jungkook, Jimin and J-Hope. BTS has won numerous titles from the K-pop world and is the biggest influential group from South Korea.
