A man in his 40s ended his life on March 27, another case involving the growing controversy of the "Nth Telegram Chatroom."

According to the Gangnam Police Department, the man, who was an office worker, has committed suicide by jumping in the Han River from Yeongdong bridge around 3 A.M. on Friday. The man reportedly ended his life when he was invited by the police department holding the special case of "Nth Chatroom" for investigation. He was said to be involved in the 260,000 men who took part in minors' sexual abuse and exploitation.

Further, he left a note inside his bag that was found on the scene of the crime. He wrote, "I've deposited money in the Nth room (Baksa chatroom), but I didn't know that the issue will get out of the hold."

In addition to this, there have been cases of men in Korea who are attempting to do the same or run away from facing the consequences of the crime they committed.

On March 26, a suicide attempt was reported, wherein a 20-year-old man drank poison after turning himself in to the police.

The young man, whose identity was hidden under the alias name "Mr. A," was arrested by Yeosu Police after admitting that he was one of the users from the "Nth Chatroom," and that he has watched explicit and illicit content where minor females were sexually assaulted. He was not a paid member but he reportedly saved videos from the chatroom, which can be used for the ongoing investigation.

However, as the investigation went on, the man suddenly confessed to the police that he took a toxic substance, saying, "I drink poison."

When the man showed signs of the toxic poisoning, medical support has been called immediately and the man was successfully transferred to a university hospital in Gwangju. The man is reported safe now and is receiving treatments for his fast recovery.

Meanwhile, Cho Joo Bin, the main perpetrator of the sexual den, has been arrested by the Seoul Metropolitan Police and is under investigation.

South Korea citizens expressed their strong stand to give Cho a severe punishment, along with the other people who operated the chatrooms as well as the men who paid and watched the minor girls being sexually abused.

On Friday, a chat log has been traced and a conversation with Cho with the users revealed his abominable doings in the past years.

In 2018, hidden cameras were found in actress Shin Se Kyung and Apink's Bomi's rooms. And based on the claims of Cho in his chats, he was the man behind the hidden cameras and the two celebrities weren't the only female artists who have been caught up into such a case.
