K-Netz haters just won't leave this idol at all.
On March 30, fans were enraged after haters of ITZY's Chaeryeong disrespected the young idol once again by cutting her out of the group's photos, along with the caption, "Support the four members." Shortly after, several netizens then agreed to the person who posted the blog in Nate, saying that it would be better if Chaeryeong leaves the group now.
In the original photo, Chaeryeoung was present, but the writer photoshopped the pictures of ITZY and edited her out.
The post has already gained 87,000 views and was getting lots of recommendation, and most of the comments were disregarding the K-pop star, and even targetted her physical appearance.
A netizen commented, "ITZY would be better without Chaeryeong who is a barrier for them to become more popular."
A hater then agreed, "Chaeryeong is really ugly. So why are you all so mad?"
In this sense, MIDZYs (ITZY's fandom name) and those who bias the female idol came to the rescue and berated the haters.
"Why are you guys so cruel?!!" A Chaeryeong fan exclaimed.
However, the haters wouldn't stop and continued to speak ill and throw derogatory remarks towards Chaeryeong, comparing her to her sister, IZ*ONE's Chaeyeon, where a basher claimed her older sister is not difficult to like because of her personality, unlike her.
In response to this, Korean MIDZYs came up with the decision to sue these online users who wrote mean and hateful statements against the idol. Concerned netizens also submitted and reported the posts to JYP Entertainment.
Meanwhile, this incident also boosted the support of netizens and fans to the proposed bill by lawmakers, called "Sulli's Law," following the name of the late singer-actress Sulli. This aims to prevent cyberbullying and the unfortunate effects of it to those who were bullied. This will not only protect the rights of the ordinary citizens but as well as the Korean idols who are often lashed out for their flaws as public figures and humans.
Sulli and her best friend Goo Hara were reported as victims of cyberbullying before making their extreme decisions, with the netizens continuously throwing hate comments and even spreading rumors about them.
Chaeryeong was also recently involved in a controversy after a netizen claimed that she has an inferiority complex towards youngest member Yuna, alleging this as the reason why she's not that good when they are together.
The bullying started ever since their pre-debut, where netizens often questioned the participation of Chaeryeong in the group. Not only Chaeryeong but her sister Chaeyeon was also discriminated against due to her appearance, as bashers said that the Chae sisters don't have the standards to be a K-pop idol. Despite their talents and charms, these are not enough for those netizens who only care about looks.
Last year, their mother also stepped in due to the massive discrimination saying, "You don't have to like my child, just don't hurt her. I beg of you."
