When questioned how she felt shooting for a solo pictorial, Sana commented, "It's usually something that I've done with the other members, so I feel a little alone and uncomfortable, but it was still really enjoyable. I always enjoyed modeling for photoshoots, and in the past, I had said to myself that sometime I would like to pose for one myself."

Sana then decided to open up on her thoughts about the imminent cancelation of their "TWICELIGHTS in Seoul 'FINALE'" performance, which was initially set to take place at the KSPO Dome in Seoul on March 7 and 8. While TWICE initially hoped to conduct the encore live show as scheduled, it was eventually canceled due to the outbreak of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus).

"I just feel bad about that," she admitted. "To the point to which it is difficult to put words into. Since this Seoul concert was supposed to be a significant event that marked the end of our year-long tour."

Sana continued on to express, "We were so saddened that on the [initial planned] date of the concert, we all took pictures together and wrote social media letters saying we were so sorry [for our fans] and so sad. But I was extremely thankful because it was our fans who really ended up consoling and supporting us."

CAREER

In 2009, Sana started practicing with EXPG in Osaka and originally intended to be a performer in Japan rather than in South Korea. She was recruited at a shopping center by a JYP Entertainment worker during her middle school years and was invited to take part in the next day's yearly JYP Japan audition.

In April 2012, Sana succeeded the audition and entered South Korea's JYPE trainee project. Before her successful breakthrough with Twice, she trained JYP for more than three years. This new project was scrapped, unfortunately, and the group made no premiere.

Sana is proficient in Korean after moving to South Korea.

In 2015 Sana actively participated in Sixteen, a reality competition TV series that picks the most influential performers. Sana took part in this musical event. One of the nine members of the newly formed group of girls was Sana, against other seventeen candidates.

In October 2015 she premiered with Twice with the title track "Like Ooh-Ahh" from their first extended play The Story Begins. Sana is recognized for her vibrant and joyful demeanor and has been recognized in South Korea and abroad.

Her fame - along with that of co Japanese members Momo and Mina - was also accredited with improving Japan-South Korea connections.
