Every idol group has a distinct concept which they are known for, or a concept that identifies them as a group. A Korean fan then listed 12 K-pop groups with different pictures that, for them, accurately represents the group's usual image or concept.
The films range from movie posters to scenic environment pictures and even outer space. The fan posted this on a popular online forum in South Korea called Pann, and it is where fans can post anonymously and interact with each other about their common interests.
1. TWICE
According to the post, TWICE's image can be compared to high school, teenage movie posters like that of Mean Girls and emphasizes the use of yellow and pink colors. The picture shows girls wearing variant colors of pink clothing and mini skirts.
2. Red Velvet
The group's concept is derived from their name Red, which signifies their bright and bold image and Velvet, which represents their classy and sexy image. However, the fan connected the group's concept to that of movie posters from the film Little Women, referring to the group's height and calling them little ladies.
3. BLACKPINK
The ladies of BLACKPINK were given a shining and glittering diamond against a black background, and the fan made a note to use a black or dark-colored background accurately. This might be because of the group's concept of using the colors black and pink.
4. Oh My Girl
Oh My Girl's image was compared to a "grand mansion's garden," which should includes "one or two white butterflies flying," the picture included a beautiful fountain as well.
5. MAMAMOO
Mamamoo has been showcasing its powerful vocals and rapping skills since its debut. Their music is under the urban and R&B genre, which suits the concept of an adult "pub" or "bar," which the poster assigned them.
6. BTS
BTS is known for its influential rappers and their member's unique vocal colors. Their image was similar to that of a hip street mural, which can be found at hidden spots in the back alleys of cities.
7. EXO
According to the fan, EXO's concept is as complex and beautiful as the galaxy. They choose a picture with deep blue colors and specks of violet and blue stars. Indeed, the EXO print!
8. SEVENTEEN
Seventeen and their youthful image can be related to a late summer school playground which can be nostalgic at best and reminds us of our younger selves who were filled with dreams and had fewer worries.
9. NCT
The post compared NCT's concept to beautifully organized neon colored makeup packages. The fan wrote "neon," which is a word that describes bright colors that glow intensely like NCT themselves.
10. (G)I-DLE
The group's concept based on the post of the fan is "a red temple with a curse or a legend of a frosty woman." This is due to (G)I-DLE's effort of showing an image that goes against the usual girl group concepts of cutesy or girl crush image.
11. WINNER
WINNER's image is compared to a "modern and neat city photography." The fan made a note that it should be black and white photography to capture the real concept of WINNER.
12. ITZY
The rookie group was also included in the post, thanks to their catchy and trendy songs. They resemble a "hologram" like a concept that is ever-present in their concept teasers in all three of their comebacks.
