LOOK: EXO and TWICE Reign as April's "Donation Angels"

On the 16th of April, "Choi Adol," an idol's popularity ranking service announced this month's group' "Donation Angel", and it was none other than EXO and TWICE!

Based on the results, groups EXO and TWICE ranked No. 1 in the cumulative ranking for male and female idol groups at the "Hall of Fame" and were selected as the 55th donation angel in April 2020.

EXO topped the male K-pop group's cumulative ranking in April marking their 13th consecutive month as top donation fairies. EXO, who is actively promoting under SM Entertainment, has been donating donation in cash or in kind, with an approximate total of 22.5 million won.

Meanwhile, EXO, who recently celebrated its 8th-anniversary last week on the 8th of April, has been performing through individual activities, wherein Suho, who debuted as a solo artist, had won three awards in music shows. Meanwhile, the other members are busy as brand ambassadors, such as Baekhyun who previously stunned fans and netizens with his visuals after posing for the May edition of "W Korea". Despite their busy schedules, the group can always find time to send their donations, not to mention their individual contributions for the coronavirus pandemic frontliners and affected families.

On the other hand, the girl group who was selected as the donation angel for the female category is TWICE!

TWICE, a popular girl group from JYP Entertainment has been helping charities and lending out their hands as wingless angels for 22 consecutive months in a row, staying as the rank one and seems like they will never give up the title to another idol. TWICE achieved a cumulative donation of 17.5 million won.

Due to this, TWICE has been gaining more supporters and fans, proving that they were indeed the "Nation's Girl Group".

Currently, TWICE has been preparing for their comeback scheduled on May-June and it is expected that their return with Mina, who became inactive due to her mental health issues, will going to become successful.

TWICE had already set a platinum record for nine consecutive times, surpassing 250,000 copies of its second full-length Japanese album following 200 million views of the music video for "Feel Special."

EXO and TWICE, who have become donation angels, will donate a total of 1 million won each to the Milal Welfare Foundation, making it 500,000 won each.

The donation will be delivered to the affected areas and families of Covid-19, including the expenses for food and materials of the frontliners. The totaldonation for "Best Idol" is 125.5 million won.

Meanwhile, BTS comes after EXO, who ranked as the second for the male idol group for "Best Idol" Hall of Fame, followed by NU'EST, ranking as the third. Also, GFRIEND ranked second while IZ * ONE as 3rd place, for the female idol group category.

Furthermore, "Choi Adol" also announced ranking for individual female and solo K-pop idols "Donation Fairy," wherein Kang Daniel was chosen as the "Charity Fairy for Male category, while TWICE Tzuyu for Female category.
