Minzy broke in tears while communicating with fans, saying, "As you know, I used to do a bunch of different kinds of things or activities. I was dying to know when I could hope to see you back once more, so I'm happy right now. Thank you for waiting for me through until the end. I made significant gains because people were congratulating me and supporting me."

She added, "Frankly, I was going through a difficult time. I also think about incorporating it into my lyrics. I wrote a song I'll launch it soon. I was having a difficult time, but I have gotten stronger because of you guys. The song is going to become a song the provides us the courage. I'll plan for several different events as I welcome you with a real and new side of me."

She went on, "I hope you enjoy listening to this album. Because of you folks, I was capable of making it this far. I'll release more music, and I hope we could talk more regularly. This is an album that we should sing along. A song of healing."

The 24-year-old revealed for the very first time how her tenure from one of the world's most beloved and prominent girl groups has contributed to years of chaos and uncertainty. Now, the solo artist wishes to motivate others facing similar forces, with the aid of friends and faith.

The vocalist-dancer was in the country at that time for a first-of-its-kind K-pop performance with her girl band, 2NE1, for the very first occasion Minzy was visiting Los Angeles, as well as particular studio time with will.i.am.

But what's changed is her way of thinking: she's evolved from a confused, teenaged pop star to a confident young woman. The latter's trying to take whatever she learned through rough celebrity experiences to deliver inspiring to encouragement routes.

Prior to her K-pop breakthrough, elementary-school-year-old Minzy, neé Gong Min-ji, was initially founded and hired at YG Entertainment - the famous Korean agency that produced and managed acts like BIGBANG and BLACKPINK and was formerly a home company to PSY when he rose to prominence internationally - after footage of his dancing abilities made headlines locally.

Minzy states the agency was initially hoping to make her debut as a solo artist, but the company's new 2NE1 girl band struggled in the dancing unit. Given the optimistic K-pop training longer than ultimate band members CL, Bom, and Dara, Minzy has been added to their 2009 appearance as the last, and youngest, member.

"People, people on social media criticized the assumption that we weren't, you know, the best-looking band," she said. "We were the 'ugly party.' I didn't know how to cope with it. I kept it in. It was difficult. [As a group], we thought it wasn't a big concern and attempted to ignore it, but you can't forget it - it's tough. I was trying to keep up with all those other girls in the band in terms of maturity and ability to respond appropriately because when you're up against all of those girl bands that look like models and you are doing something completely different - lovely but different - you're dealing with a specific way."

Minzy continued, "I'd go on stage, and they would love and appreciate me, everyone was really nice. I would, therefore, feel so lonely in the hotel when the play was over. Life felt like a stage. I didn't really know what my existence was all about. I was not at all certain if things and life would be better as an artist or if life is so much better just on its own."

She added, "It was such a comparison, but I have never had the time to sort out how to equalize being alone and on stage."
