South Korean celebrities trended a handsign to show their support and appreciation towards the coronavirus frontliners.
South Korea is one of the most affected countries on the coronavirus pandemic and continues to fight the current threat. With this, the handsign was created to specifically show appreciation and gratefulness to those people who are on the frontline in battling the crisis. K-pop stars didn't exempt themselves and made the said handsign as shown on the following on their photos.
Here are some of the K-pop idols who have joined the trend to express appreciation to our heroes in these trying times.
Sandara Park
Sandara has been updating her fans with her latest activities, and one of her prominent photos recently is when she posed with the handsign. In her Instagram post, Dara wrote in her caption, "Thank you to the medical staff who are still doing their best at the Corona 19 site."
Choi Siwon
Super Junior's Siwon is one of the ambassadors for UNICEF. Therefore, it is no wonder if he will be advocating this handsign as well.
Cha Eun Woo
The handsome ASTRO member shared a photo of him doing the current handsign trend.
Chanyeol
Chanyeol also showed his appreciation and gratefulness to all the frontliners of the pandemic coronavirus. The EXO member is known as a thoughtful person, as seen several times on screen.
Sunmi
The beautiful K-pop soloist shared a photo of her handsign challenge as well.
Momoland
Momoland did the handsign challenge as a group, and many lauded them for supporting and appreciating the South Korean COVID-19 warriors.
Bae Suzy
Being known for her caring characteristics, it is not surprising that she would also pose doing the handsign challenge.
As of the writing, South Korea has over 10,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19, while 9,283 have recovered. Even the entertainment and movie industry have been affected and opted to make major adjustments to ensure the safety of both the artists and the audience. Big concerts were scrapped, and comebacks were delayed. Also, cinema-goers have decreased, following the social distancing rule.
While K-pop idols can't meet their fans personally, some artists are currently utilizing live streaming platforms to share music and to entertain and communicate with their fans who are also in quarantine.
There are a lot of comebacks and debuts to anticipate this May and the coming months, and fans are hoping for the world to heal to finally meet their faves and see them perform live.
