IU and Park Seo Joon, along with other celebrities, were recently confirmed to star in a new movie, "Dream," and filming is now in progress.
Under Lee Byung Hun's directorship, IU, Park Seo Joon, Lee Hyun Woo, Kim Jong Soo, and Go Chang Suk are all set to join forces to excite fans as the upcoming movie has began filming on May 7. The said movie is a fresh concept about a star soccer player who was caught up in a scandal, which forced him to take a break. Park Seo Joon plays as the leading man, Yoon Hong Dae, while IU plays the leading lady as Lee So Min, a broadcasting PD.
"Dream" is expected to premiere in 2021.
Photos of the team's script reading surfaced online, giving fans a glimpse and confirmation that the project is pushing through. The "Extreme Job" director said, "This is a project I've been preparing for so long, and it is very special to me. We have a set of amazing casts of actors, and I am so excited to work with them."
Park Seo Joon also gave his thoughts about the film, saying, "I am excited to spend my time being Hong Dae. I will exert my greatest effort to give the audiences a fantastic movie."
K-pop star and actress, IU, also shared her thoughts about this new project. She said, "As this is my debut in a feature movie, I would like to take this project with responsibility and enthusiasm. I am very glad to be working with stars and cast members who are persistently warm and welcoming. And I know I have so much to learn from them."
Both Park Seo Joon and IU starred in the acclaimed dramas. The actor recently completed JTBC's Itaewon Class that gathered a huge rating among viewers. He was also paired with several talented stars such as Park Min Young and Kim Ji Won.
On the other hand, IU has always been a crowd-favorite. She starred in hit dramas, such as Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, Dream High, and Hotel del Luna.
Most recently, IU made a successful comeback with her new single and collaborative track with BTS's Suga, "Eight." As expected, fans were amazed and felt moved after witnessing the animated music video, as well as its magnificent melody and details.
Meanwhile, many fans claimed that the song was dedicated to her late friends Sulli and Jonghyun.
