K-pop idols always give their best shot while on stage, but in some instances, unforeseen emergency events happen among artists while performing.
K-pop idols are highly applauded for their awesome stage performances, which is why their fans always anticipate seeing them sing and dance live. And since these idols often show the audience their seemingly unwavering stamina, many people tend to forget that they are humans too who get burned out. There were times even that artists collapsed or met accidents while on stage, entertaining their fans.
Here's a list of some of the K-pop idols who encountered emergencies while on stage.
Girl's Day's Hyeri
The lovely Hyeri, along with her band members, were performing "Something," which looked perfect on stage. The girls were looking sexy that their audiences were screaming with excitement. While she was able to finish the song, at the end of it, she suddenly collapsed, and the girls had to assist her. She then tweeted, later on, to say sorry to her fans and said to take care of one's health.
G-Dragon
BIGBANG's leader was not an exemption regarding this topic. In 2019, he accidentally fell on stage in one of his concerts in Bangkok, Thailand, called "ACT III, M.O.T.T.E." Although fans were way too worried about what happened to him, YG Entertainment said nothing serious happened to him.
f(x)'s Krystal
The beautiful Krystal Jung suddenly fainted while the girl group was performing their "Mr. Boogie" in 2010. It was noticed by many that even if she was trying to display energy into her performance, she was a bit lousy, too. The girls had to stop the performance and helped her exit the stage. It was revealed that fatigue and fewer hours of sleep resulted in such a situation.
BTS's Jungkook
It was not once but several times that Jungkook had emergencies while performing in concerts. One example was in 2018 during one of their "BURN THE STAGE" concert in Chile, wherein he suddenly fainted and necessitated oxygen due to exhaustion. Fans expressed their concern towards the idols who were under rigid pressure to give their best performances.
SinB of GFriend
In 2016, SinB fainted in the middle of their stage performance at a Jeonbuk University event, which shocked the mob and her fellow members. Since the beginning of the performance, many noticed that the K-pop star was not feeling well. She was then rushed to the hospital. Fans were worried that the girls might have ended becoming too exhausted from their work. After the said incident, she assured fans that she was okay.
There are a lot of times when idols have to experience emergencies while on stage, and this only means that, as the humans that they are, unforeseen events might also occur.
