Lady Gaga Shares Thoughts on Working With BLACKPINK + Says She's The Group's "5th Member"

"Queen of Pop" Lady Gaga said nothing but positive words towards the phenomenal K-pop group BLACKPINK.

BLINKs are elated as of press time as "Sour Candy," one of Lady Gaga's tracks featuring BLACKPINK in her album "CHROMATICA," is set to be released tomorrow, May 29, as announced earlier by the international pop singer herself.

While everyone is speculating about what the song would be, Lady Gaga shared positive words towards the quartet that will undoubtedly make the girls' fandom feel proud. During her exclusive interview with tvgroove, a Japanese Media, she revealed the great experience she had while working with Lisa, Rose, Jisoo, and Jennie.

Lady Gaga was asked, "This time, you also collaborated with BLACKPINK on the track 'Sour Candy.' What was the process behind this? How was the collaboration with them, and what does the music video look like?"

She then explained and expressed how it was working with the girls, saying, "When I reached out to them and asked if they would like to sing a track with me, they were literally overjoyed and motivated. It was indeed an exciting collaboration. I wanted to have fun with them because I adore powerful women like them, and they also would love to celebrate me.

Lady Gaga added, "I honestly had a wonderful time creating this song. I was thrilled to hear them interpret the song in Korean, and I told them that the part was so creative and fun. I was in awe to hear their singing prowess. They are beautiful young ladies, totally talented and I am proud to be the fifth member of BLACKPINK (on this song)."

Earlier, netizens lauded Lady Gaga for revealing why she collaborated with young female artists, Ariana Grande and BLACKPINK. The singer said she believes that she would like to guide them on their journey because when she was also young like them, but nobody guided her to reach the peak of her success.

BLINKs and Lady Gaga's fans are now counting down the official release of "CHROMATICA." As such, it's expected to be a record-breaking success, basing it on the favorable reactions and excitement the fans are displaying from the get-go - since the collaboration was only a rumor up to the official announcement track release.

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment confirmed earlier that BLACKPINK is one of the KPOP girl groups that will be having their comeback in June. It was also confirmed that the songs were done, and the music video filming was in the process.

A lot of their fans are keen on every BLACKPINK member's updates. While BLINKs are undeniably ecstatic for the group's forthcoming return, recently, fans expressed their concerns on various social media platforms that the girls are overworking for this comeback that they might've injured themselves. Besides, Jennie was spotted wearing crutches on the launching event of her eyewear collection, "Jentle Home."

On the other hand, Lisa was spotted with a seemingly large bruise on her leg while appearing in a recent interview as the newest brand spokesperson for Downy.
