Many individual stars also tend to be getting more recognition and exposure than others. Whether it's because of them being much more skilled than others, having "perfect" visuals, becoming more excellently-known because of acting and advertisement gigs, and/or because of client favoritism for multiple reasons, fans believe that these idols certainly often seem to outshine the majority of their co-bandmates.
Although this is definitely not really the most favorable set-up for a K-pop group with many talented members, no hatred must be targeted against them!
AOA's SEOLHYUN
Seolhyun grew enormously popular amongst AOA members, and thanks to her perfect visuals, she was given ample opportunity than the others. She didn't quit the band to seek an ambitious solo career (something she could possibly have taken!).
(G)-IDLE's SOYEON
Soyeon is exceptionally gifted as an entertainer, producer, and rap artist, but there is no denying the fact she actually ended up with more lines and central time than most other (G)I-DLE members.
But because she's part of the music development and helps disperse lines, the line allocation of (G)I-DLE isn't as inconsistent as it might be in this kind of scenario!
WEKI MEKI's YOO JUNG AND DOYEON
By the time Weki Meki debuted, these two women had such huge fanbases, thanks to Produce 101 and I.O.I, so it's no wonder they actually end up with even more center time than the others. Luckily, this seems to have become greater in more successful comebacks.
NCT's TAEYONG
We can't deny that Taeyong is an entire package - he has incredible visuals, fantastic rapping skills, and exceptional performance efficiency - and his number of lines and core positions indicate this. But the other NCT members are all very naturally gifted, and presumably, they will have more opportunities to shine, too, as time progresses!
BLACKPINK's JENNIE
There's a lot of discussions, of course, about Jennie's "preferential treatment," such as saying she receives the best looks, most performances, and opportunities, and she's been the only BLACKPINK member to get a single so far. However, none of these are her responsibility to fix, and the level of negativity she's gotten as a result is unjust.
FORMER MISS A's SUZY
Sadly, because of her many other opportunities from acting and commercials, Suzy seems to be the only participant that many K-pop fans recognize of Miss A. Of course, the band's supporters understand that the other participants deserve fair coverage!
ASTRO's EUN WOO
Like Suzy, Eun Woo is an ASTRO member who is known by many more local viewers because of his acting stints and famous visuals. That being said, ASTRO as a whole has a great discography and some amazing movements, and the other members deserve to be praised to!
SF9's ROWOON
Like Eun Woo, for his acting and visual effects, Rowoon is perhaps more possibly the best-known than his role as a K-pop star, with several people not even realizing he's part of SF9, a rookie group from FNC Entertainment. This is probably because of his leading role in the hit romance drama "Extraordinary You."
