Following BIGBANG Taeyang's impressive cover of his junior's track, "Wayo," the BLACKPINK main vocalist Rosé did a short teaser cover of Bang Yedam's song as well, showcasing her unique vocal prowess accompanied by the soothing sound of the acoustic guitar.

On the 29th, BLACKPINK Rosé posted a short cover video taken in a studio on her Instagram account, and even wrote a caption saying, "I love this song! Please support Yedam solo debut a lot!"

The 44-second video shows Rosé singing Bang Ye-dam's new song "Wayo" (Waeyo/Why) in a natural atmosphere while her excellent vocals blended well with the acoustic guitar.

The main vocalist of BLACKPINK featured her unique nasal singing style, exuding a sweet serenading sound that eventually reached the hearts of her fans and followers. Her facial expression, which matched with the melody of the song, also carved a more in-depth impression on the listeners.

In particular, part of the "Why" verse was released for the first time through this video, raising questions about the original song.

Just recently, the "Kings of K-pop" BIGBANG member Taeyang, who is dubbed as one of the 'vocal kings' as well, initially give the teaser of Bang Yedam's debut track, singing it in a different vibe compared to Rosé. On his Instagram account, Taeyang shoots the video in a studio as well, with the accompaniment of keyboard, showcasing an emotional singing with the lines, "Why, why, why, why."

"I feel like I've lost everything. Why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why can't I? Why, why, why, just tell me, why can't we?" Rosé and Taeyang's unique voices hinted the fans and supporters of Yedam to ready themselves as the song was already giving them the sorrowful vibes.

Meanwhile, Bang Yedam, who is a member of the upcoming boy group of YG Entertainment, is set to release his solo debut song, "Wayo" in June before their group's debut.

According to YG Entertainment, the song will serve as a pre-release song and the debut song of the idol, which is a treat for his fans who have been waiting for him for a long time.

The song was prepared some time ago, and in particular, Bang Yedam's first single, "Wayo" was written and composed by WINNER's Kang Seungyoon and AKMU's Lee Chan Hyuk, which has been actively getting a lot of support from his senior musicians including Rosé and Taeyang.

On the other hand, Bang Yedam's debut will start the back-to-back content from YG Entertainment, wherein in mid-June, BLACKPINK will be releasing their first pre-release song as well.

However, this is just a small treat for BLINKs who have been waiting for a year since BLACKPINK's comeback, for the female group will appear on their first YouTube variety show as well, followed by their second single in July/August. BLACKPINK's major return is scheduled in September, where fans can expect a full-length album consisting of 10 new tracks, according to their agencies' statement.

On the other side, TREASURE is also set to kick off this upcoming July, which is a 12-member boy group, the first boy group that YGE will be launching after iKON.
