"I-Land" first batch of applicants is finally introduced in public!
On June 1, netizens and fans who are anticipating the upcoming idol survival show, "I-Land," are expressing their excitement and anticipation as the "applicants" profiles' information as well as teaser image is revealed for the first time through the show's official website (https://iland.weverse.io/applicants), powered by Weverse.
On the official website, six applicants were unveiled, introducing six new and fresh faces about becoming the future of the new K-pop era. Short-profile information was also revealed for each applicant, including their names, ages, nationalities, origins, and training periods.
The first applicant is Daniel, a 14-year old South Korean-American mix who has been training for a year now. Among the other applicants, he was the younger contestant that was introduced so far.
Next is the 18-year-old Heesung, who has the longest training period of three years and six months. Calculating his age when he became a trainee, he is 14 or 15 years old.
The third applicant is Jake, who is an Australian-Korean with the least training period of months and is only 17 years old.
Fourth, an applicant under the Alias name "K," was introduced, who is the only Japanese applicant for the first batch and is also the oldest among others. K is a 22-year-old aspiring idol who is training for two years and eight months.
Fifth, we also have Sunghoon, a 17-year old Korean with two years and two months of training.
And lastly, Sunoo, who only started training ten months ago, is a 16-year-old applicant residing in South Korea.
Meanwhile, along with their profiles, the applicants' teaser images were also released, featuring the refreshing visuals of the aspiring idols. Aside from their good looks, their images also draw fans' and netizens' attention because of their outfit, resembling the costume from the international film, "Hunger Games," leading for netizens to become curious about the show's concept.
On the other hand, "I-Land" is a reality survival show produced and collaborated by Big Hit and CJ ENM, which will be launched through MNET. This show will be the first project under Belift Labs Incorporation, a joint venture of Big Hit and MNET to unveil a new K-pop group.
According to the agencies, the show will be featuring the K-pop trainees' journey as they walk on their path to debut, as well as will be guiding them towards the limelight of becoming the next generation of K-pop artists.
The show is expected to be filmed in a competitive setting, showing each trainee's organic potential throughout the show.
